Meet Erica
Erica Blaire Fetherston
founder & Principal
Erica Blaire Fetherston helps complex organizations tell their story (simply) to the audiences that matter.
Over more than 15 years in strategic communications, media relations, and public affairs, she has worked under real pressure: congressional scrutiny, national misinformation campaigns, multi-state legislative fights, and media environments where a single sentence carries consequences. She has also worked at scale, directing strategy for as many as 15 client accounts at once across multiple sectors.
She founded Blaire & Co. after hearing the same frustration from smart communications buyers again and again: senior people sell the engagement, junior teams deliver it. At Blaire & Co., that never happens. The strategist clients meet in the first conversation is the strategist directing their work in month twelve. That is the promise, and every decision the firm makes protects it.
CREDENTIALS AT A GLANCE
Seven years leading communications for Arizona's largest locally owned business coalition, driving membership growth, business development, and economic advocacy.
Summa cum laude graduate in Philosophy and Political Science, the foundation for her policy and public affairs work.
AI-fluent practitioner with hands-on command of AI-assisted research, monitoring, and content workflows built for AI-powered search visibility.
The brand story
On her mother's side, Erica's grandparents launched a dry cleaning business in Yuma, Arizona: first-generation entrepreneurs who understood that a small business is built one relationship, and one reputation, at a time.
On her father's side, her grandfather served as a small-town city manager while her grandmother worked as a nurse, a household grounded in public service and community care.
Her parents met at law school. Her mother helped businesses navigate compliance, working the seams where regulation meets commerce. Her father joined his brother in commercial real estate, developing the skyline of a growing Arizona.
Entrepreneurship, public service, healthcare, regulated industries, and commercial real estate: the sectors Blaire & Co. serves today run through the family that shaped its founder.
Blaire & Co. lives at the intersection of business and government, because its founder always has.

At large agencies, senior staff typically sell the engagement and junior teams deliver it. A senior-led boutique gives you the strategist directly, with faster decisions and no agency overhead or junior markup. The tradeoff is scale: large agencies offer more headcount, while a boutique offers depth and continuity.
